Command Sergeant Major Jose A. Castillo assignments include, 782nd Maintenance Support Battalion 82nd Airborne Division Ft Bragg North Carolina; 702nd Main Support Battalion 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Stanley Korea; 782nd Main Support Battalion 82nd Airborne Division; 302nd Forward Support Battalion 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey Korea; 82nd Forward Support Battalion 82nd Airborne Division/18th Airborne Corps Noncommissioned Officer’s Academy; 4th Psychological Operations Group (A) United States Army Special Operations Command; Command Sergeant Major Joint Psychological Operations Task Force (JPOTF),  Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT); Command Sergeant Major 307th BSB/1BSTB,1BCT, 82nd Airborne Division . Command Sergeant Major 210th BSB, 2BCT, 10th Mountain Division and is currently the Command Sergeant Major of the 10th Sustainment Brigade.


His military and civilian education includes: U. S. Army Airborne School; Jump Master Course; Air Assault Course; Primary, Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer’s Course; Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officer’s Course; United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Command Sergeants Major Course.  He also has a Bachelor from Excelsior College Albany, New York.


CSM Castillo has served in every enlisted leadership position ranging from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major. Combat tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
