CSM Ann M. Sydnor attended both Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), at Fort Jackson, South Carolina graduating as a Unit Supply Specialist.

CSM Sydnor held many leadership positions during her career to include: Squad Leader, Supply Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Battalion S4 NCOIC, Supply Accounting NCOIC, G4 Multi-Class Logistics NCOIC, First Sergeant, and Command Sergeant Major.

CSM Sydnor’s stateside assignments include: HHC, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; HQ, United States Army Garrison, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Cadet Command, Wheaton, Illinois; HQ, 4th Brigade, 78th Division (TS), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Whiskey Company, 244th QM Battalion, Fort Lee, Virginia; HHC, 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado; Bravo Company, 704th Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado; G4 Mission Support Element, Fort Carson, Colorado. Her Overseas assignments include: 512th Maintenance Company, 51st Maintenance Battalion, Mannheim, Germany; Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09, Iraq; and Operation Enduring Freedom X, Afghanistan.

CSM Sydnor’s military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course; the Basic Noncommissioned Officer’s Course; the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer’s Course (Honor Graduate); the First Sergeant Course; the United States Sergeant’s Major Academy; the Instructor Training Course; Combat Lifesaver Course; and the Drill Sergeants Course.

Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (3 Oak Leaf Cluster); the Army Commendation Medal (3 Oak Leaf Clusters); the Army Achievement Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster); the Good Conduct Medal (7th Award); National Defense Service Medal (w/bronze star); Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Korean Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4); Army Service Ribbon; the Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 3); the NATO Medal; Meritorious Unit Commendation; Valorous Unit Award; and the Drill Sergeant Badge.
