Command Sergeant Major Williams began his military career in 1988. He enlisted as a 13B and attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Early on in his career he re-classified to the MOS of 76P, which was later re-designated 92A, Automated Logistics Specialist.

His assignments include: tours of duty with Echo Company, 7th FA, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum ,New York; Alpha Company, 706th MSB, 6th Infantry Division, Fairbanks, Alaska; HHC, 46th Support Battalion, Fairbanks Alaska; Bravo Company, 710th MSB, Fort Drum, New York; HQ/Alpha Company, 10th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Drum, New York; HQ/Alpha Company 710th MSB, Fort Drum, New York; 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Group, Fort Eustis, Virginia; Alpha Company, 10th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York; Golf Company, 244th QM BN, Ft Lee, Va.; 189th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Ft Bragg, NC.  He is currently the Command Sergeant Major of the 210th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY. 

Command Sergeant Major Williams has held numerous positions throughout his career. Assistant Gunner as a 13B, all positions as an Automated Logistics Specialist; Squad Leader and Section Sergeant as a 92A, Platoon Sergeant; Support Operation NCOIC; S2/3 Operations Sergeant and First Sergeant. 

Command Sergeant Major Williams civilian education includes a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration  Magna Cum Laude from Trident University. A Masters of Business Administration with concentration in Logistics  and Military Operations from TUI. His military education includes OSUT, Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember (13B), the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Non-commissioned Officers Course, Support Operations Course I & II, Battle Staff Course, Joint Logistics Course, First Sergeant Course, Command Sergeant Major Development Course and the United States Sergeants Major Academy . He has also successfully completed  Airborne and  Air Assault School. 

Command Sergeant Major Williams awards include: the Bronze Star (2OLC); Meritorious Service Medal (6OLC); the Army Commendation Medal (1OLC); the Army Achievement Medal (1OLC); Good Conduct Medal (7th Award); NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4); Overseas Ribbon (Numeral 6); Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia); Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait); Iraqi Campaign Medal (4 stars); South West Asia Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, and the Airborne and Air Assault Badges. Command Sergeant Major Williams is a member of the Sergeant  Audie Murphy Club Fort Drum Chapter and a recipient of the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
