Aerospace power support to the 10th Mtn Div. Sr Air Force advisor to 10th Mountain Division Commanding General.

Description

The 20 ASOS advises and integrates air and space power into the combat plans, operations and exercises of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry). The unit provides advocacy and support to the ground scheme of maneuver for the division and three brigades at Fort Drum, and one brigade at Fort Polk. They control employment of allocated air assets on the battlefield and respond to global Air Force commitments with highly trained Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs), as well as coordinate and manage joint air operations with other service components and allied air forces.
