Public Works encompasses six divisions: Housing, Engineering, Master Planning, Operations and Maintenance, Environmental, and Business Office. The Housing Division includes both Family and Single Soldier housing. Services include barracks management, off post leased Family housing administration and participation within Mountain Community Homes, our on post privatized housing company. The Engineering Division provides professional engineering services for contracted facility construction, repair, maintenance and service projects. The Master Planning Division programs the installation development and large construction projects. Their Real Property section provides real estate services and assigns specific facilities to meet organizational requirements. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Division is divided into three branches: Utilities, Roads and Grounds, and Carpentry. O&M Division responds to the daily installation service order requests (except Mountain Community Homes-for a service order for Mountain Community Homes call 955-6650). For electric, plumbing, water, heating and air conditioning systems, signs, locksmith, small carpentry projects, roof leaks, refuse collection, snow plowing, salting roads, and grass cutting services call 772-5495. The Environmental Division manages Compliance (hazardous wastes, discharge permits, spill cleanup), Natural Resources (wetlands, forestry, birds, fish, wildlife, hunting and fishing permits) and Cultural Resources (Native American interests, in theater heritage training). The Business Office manages the facility work order prioritization and execution process. These include all projects that exceed routine service order response. Please visit each of PW’s division’s Resource Pages for a more detailed explanation of what Public Works can do for you.
