Ammunition Amnesty

The Ammunition Amnesty Program allows for ammunition/residue to be turned in with "no questions asked". If a soldier should discover ammunition or residue items ON POST once the unit has returned from the field, he/she will be able to inform the chain of command without fear of prosecution. It can be brought to the ASP, 772-5596, during normal duty hours, 0730-1600 and given directly to an ASP operator. No paperwork is required. No questions will be asked. The ammo should, however, be transported in a military vehicle. If ammunition and/or residue is discovered ON POST after duty hours, take the following actions depending on where it was found:

If it is found somewhere other than a range or in the training area (i.e., in the barracks), mark it, determine the location, and contact the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 772-6324/8620.

If the ammunition is on a range or in the training area, mark it, determine the location, and contact Range Control at 772-7152. In addition, contact the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 772-6324/8620.

If individuals are aware of circumstances that will assist in the investigation of the cause(s) of the ON POST ammunition loss, they should call the Provost Marshall Office (MP Station) at 772-5156/5157. The Provost Marshall representative will respond to the incident.
