Who needs a No-Fee passport?

All family members who accompany their sponsor to an overseas assignment in a foreign country, must apply for a No-Fee passport.

Why can't I use my tourist passport?

Tourist passports are specifically issued for touring.  No-Fee passports provide family members protection under the Status of Forces Agreement and allow military dependents to live in the country.

What do I need to bring with me?

You will be briefed on all requirements at your scheduled levy briefing and given an information sheet.  For additional information call 772-1255 or stop by Clark Hall A1-24 and speak with a Passport Agent.

    Where do I get my pictures taken?

    TASC, P-1029,  will do passport pictures by appointment only.  Monday thru Friday 0830 - 1100 and 1230 - 1500. Prior to obtaining the pictures the sponsor must submit a work order to the Visual Information Branch at  Appointments are approximately 10-15 minutes; picture will be given to you at that time.  For further information call 772-5214.

    What are the picture requirements?

    The applicant should present a photo that is recent (taken within the past six months).  The passport photo should be in color.  Must be 2x2 inches in size.  Photos should be taken in normal street attire without a hat or headgear unless headgear is part of their daily attire for religious or medical reasons, which will require a written, signed statement to that effect.

    How long does it take to get a passport?

    Passports can take eight (8) weeks to receive back from the State Department.  If VISAs are required you will need to add an additional four (4) to six (6) weeks onto the eight (8) week time frame.
