Mission Statement

To provide quality service regarding benefits, entitlements, information and referral to Retirees, their Family as well as active duty Soldiers and their Family preparing for retirement. The Retirement Services Office also publishes the Fort Drum Retired Army Newsletter; advises and supports the Fort Drum Retiree Council, develops public support of Army programs and informs the retired community of upcoming events of interest.

Fort Drum Monthly Medical Pre-Retirement/SBP Briefing

*Medical Pre-Retirement briefings are conducted every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month (minus federal holidays), from 0900-1100, at the SFAC Classroom, Bldg 11042. You DO NOT need orders to attend. Recommend attendance 180 DAYS from projected medical release.

**The RSO provides these briefings to those in the medical evaluation process separately for the convenience of Soldiers and their Families to help accommodate already full schedules with other appointments.

***If you would prefer the full schedule briefing yuo are more than welcome to call and sign up to attend. 

Fort Drum Monthly Longevity Pre-Retirement/SBP Briefing AGENDA

This brief is mandatory for all active duty Soldiers and Spouses to complete the clearing process. You must attend one of these briefings and insure your attendance is documented by the Retirement Services Office. Certain mandatory paperwork must be completed by the Soldier and any respective Spouse prior to completing the clearing process.  Failure to attend may slow or stop your out processing.
