Fort Drum Thrift Shop staff outlines hours, opportunities

The Fort Drum Thrift Shop has a program to help military Families in need, and proceeds assist organizations that support the post community.
The Thrift Shop is located in Bldg. P-55, corner of First Street and Quartermaster Road. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Consignments are accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Consignor information is available at The staff is currently accepting summer items and accessories.
Donations may be dropped off in the shop’s front lobby at any time.
The Thrift Shop currently has many open volunteer positions. Volunteers enjoy flexible hours. Other benefits include paid child care, TSP discounts, purchase priority and retail experience.

The Fort Drum Thrift Shop will be closed June 23 and the entire month of July. It is scheduled to  re-open Aug. 2.
In addition, the shop will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, with bag sales and 50-percent off sales.
