March marks Brain Injury Awareness Month. The objective for the Army, and Army Medicine, is to increase awareness of brain injuries among Soldiers, leaders and Family Members. The theme this year is "TBI- Know More" and includes education on the signs, symptoms, prevention methods and available TBI treatment resources.
The Fort Drum TBI Clinic staff has planned the following events:
- Display with handouts and literature Monday through March 23 in Guthrie Clinic's main lobby;
- Open house, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 23, with tours of the TBI Clinic and an opportunity to "meet the staff" in Bldg. R-17;
- Cake-cutting ceremony at noon March 23 in the TBI Clinic.
Take time to this month to learn about traumatic brain injuries and the treatments and services available.
