WATERTOWN – The Disabled Persons Action Organization and Chapman’s Can-Am Speedway & Motorsports Park will present the 2nd Annual Night of Fireworks and Destruction Monster Truck Show.
Vaters’ Monster Motorsports, “Promoter of the Year” by the Monster Truck Racing Association for three years running, will bring five Monster Trucks to perform at the Can-Am Speedway and Motorsports Park at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.
The Five Monster Trucks scheduled to appear are The Black Stallion, Iron Warrior, Higher Education, Back Draft and Eradicator. The five Monster Trucks will perform in elimination bracket-style racing, wheelie and freestyle competitions over salvage cars. The event will include one freestyle motocross rider performing stunts while jumping steel ramp to ramp. The event also will include the exhibition of a jet-powered four-wheeler performing a burner pops, flame show and car burn!
The 2nd Annual Night of Fireworks and Destruction Monster Truck Show will offer a free pit party scheduled for 5:30 p.m. where fans can receive autographs and photos from the Monster Truck drivers.
In addition to the Monster Truck Show, there will be a Cheney Tire 40 Lap Enduro, which will feature a high-speed demolition derby! Prizes will be awarded for first place ($500), second place ($200) and third place ($100).
The excitement will continue after the Monster Truck Show, as a fireworks display will be presented at the venue.
Tickets for the 2nd Annual Night of Fireworks and Destruction Monster Truck Show are on sale now. They may be purchased by calling DPAO at 782-0044 or by visiting the following Kinney Drugs Store locations: Watertown, Gouverneur, Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Ogdensburg, Alexandria Bay, Clayton, Adams, Carthage and Lowville.
