The North Country Spouses’ Club invites the public to attend its 23rd Annual Craft and Antique Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bruce M. Wright Memorial Conference Center, 1291 Faichney Drive, Watertown.
“The purpose of the craft fair is to raise funds to give toward scholarships and community outreach projects that benefit the Fort Drum and northern New York community at large,” said Kylie Durant, publicity chairperson.
Last year, the NCSC provided Fort Drum Family Members with more than $15,000 in scholarships. In addition, NCSC distribued more than $6,000 in grant money to local organizations such as the Carthage Free Library, Watertown YMCA, the Association of the Blind/Visually impaired of Jefferson County, and the Children’s House of Jefferson County, to name just a few.
Featuring more than 60 vendors, the event provides an opportunity for attendees to peruse a variety of unique goods, from handmade jewelry, clothing and soaps, to spices and gourmet food items, housewares and much more.
“The craft fair is a perfect time to enjoy some holiday shopping from local vendors,” Durant said. “Not only will you be supporting the local community, but you can do so in comfort and without worrying about the holiday rush.”
The craft fair will be held at the newly renovated Bruce W. Wright Conference center, located between Arsenal and Coffeen streets and easily accessible from Interstate 81.
