WATERTOWN – Jefferson Community College is now a testing site for a variety of allied health certifications offered by the National Center for Competency Testing. Certifications are available for medical assistant, phlebotomy technician, insurance and coding specialist, medical office assistant, patient care technician, ECG technician, certified postsecondary instructor and surgical technologist.
Since 1989, the NCCT has tested more than 380,000 individuals for competency in skill, knowledge and experience in numerous allied health roles. Exams, administered online and proctored at NCCT sites, are based on what a person knows rather than how he or she obtained training or education.
JCC will proctor NCCT certification exams on May 19. For more information about how
