In an effort to meet the needs of patrons who wish to continue to participate in aerobics classes on Fort Drum, Monti Physical Fitness Center will implement some changes in the new year.
Beginning Jan. 1, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will partner with its fitness and aerobics customers by cost-sharing classes.
Fitness and aerobics classes will be available to DOD card holders 18 and older at a cost of $5 per session. Patrons may sign up and pay for classes at Monti Physical Fitness Center or by visiting This secure website allows customers to register for classes they wish to attend and pay for these classes online with a debit card.
Patrons also may pay $35 a month for the option of attending unlimited fitness and aerobics classes.
Customers will still need to register in advance to ensure that classes meet their minimum quotas. Payment and registration for unlimited classes must be completed in person at Monti Physical Fitness Center.
Payments for all fitness and aerobics classes are nonrefundable, and a 10-person minimum is required for each class. If a class does not meet the minimum customer requirement seven business days in advance, it will be cancelled. Notice of cancellation will be posted to the Monti Physical Fitness Center link located on the Fort Drum FWMR website at
Updates also will be posted to Monti gym’s Facebook page at Patrons should ensure that they are visiting the current Facebook page, which is updated regularly.
Walk-ins for fitness sessions will be accepted if the class has met the minimum requirement and space is available. Those patrons wishing to attend on a walk-in basis should arrive 30 minutes in advance to allow time to make their payment.
The monthly aerobics and fitness class calendar will remain similar to past calendars. Calendars and notice of any new classes being offered are posted to the FMWR website about one month in advance.
