Commanding General Change of Command Ceremony November 4

  

Fort Drum, NY - Fort Drum and 10th Mountain Division officials will conduct a Change of Command Ceremony Friday, November 4 at 10 a.m. at Sexton Field.

 

Major General James L. Terry will relinquish command of Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division to Major General Mark A. Milley.

  

Maj. Gen.  Terry has been nominated and confirmed to promotion to Lieutenant General and will assume the position of commanding general of V Corps, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army in January. 

 

Maj. Gen.  Milley, recently served as the deputy director for regional operations, J-3, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.



NOTE TO EDITORS:

 

There will be an awards ceremony and a media opportunity with the Secretary  the Army prior to the Change of Command. 

 

There will be a Media escort at the Media Operations Center parking lot at 8:45 AM to escort attending media onto the post.  The Fort Drum Media Operations Center is just south of the entrance to the Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield.  From I-81 take the exit for Route 342 and head west to Route 11.

 

Turn left onto Rte 11 and then turn right onto Rte 26.  The entrance and the sign for the Media Operations Center will be on your left side of the street.
