Fort Drum to open additional gates during morning hours.

Fort Drum, NY - Beginning Monday January 30th two additional gates will open to help relieve traffic congestion in and around Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield.  These gates will be open from 0530-0730 hours Monday through Friday; closed on weekends, Holidays and DONSAs.

Only valid DoD ID Card holders will be allowed to access these gates.

The old Nash Gate at NYS Route 26 will open for in-bound traffic ONLY.  Out-Bound traffic will not be allowed to exit.  This gate is directly across from the current Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield/Munns Corners gate.

By opening the Nash gate, we hope to ease traffic congestion  along NYS Route 26.  The other gate opening is located off of NYS Route 3A in Deferiet adjacent to the Ammunition Supply Point. This gate will provide an alternate route to the airfield.

The other six access gates will remain unchanged.

Mt. Belvedere, Iraqi Freedom, Gas Alley and Wheeler-Sack gates are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Black River gate is open Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

45th Infantry gate is open Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.
