Fort Drum Releases 2013 Economic Impact Statement
Fort Drum, NY - Fiscal year 2013 marked significant investment by Fort Drum in Northern New York's economy.
A detailed review of Fort Drum's economic impact on the tri-county area over the last fiscal year shows $1,416,969,521 was leveraged in support of the 18,060 Soldiers and 19,151 Family members living here.
Since fiscal year 1988, this Army installation has infused more than $19,762,504,537 into the local economy.

The continued dedication of our civilian workforce, along with the patriotism of our surrounding communities allows Fort Drum to be more than a training and deployment
facility for the 10th Mountain Division, various Guard and Reserve Units and Joint Operations. It is our home." said Colonel Gary A. Rosenberg, Garrison Commander.
Fort Drum is the largest employer in Northern New York with 18,060 Soldiers and 3895 Civilian workers (including contractors) with payrolls totaling $937,524,595.10 and $176,409,279.84 respectively.

The total military, civilian, contractor and retiree payroll for FY13 was $1,168,245,874.94.
Fort Drum's financial impact during last fiscal year for area school districts was $48,606,183.32 in federal impact aid.
Fort Drum is a major customer for construction companies and suppliers of goods and services worth $32,411,871. Companies located in the tri-county area received 62 of those contracts worth $2,614,974.44.
