Fort Drum and 10th Mountain Division Commemorates 10th Anniversary of  9-11 Attacks

 

FORT DRUM, NY - Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division will mark the tenth anniversary of the 9-11 attacks with a wreath laying ceremony at the 9-11 memorial at Clark Hall, Sunday September 11th. The ceremony will honor those who lost their lives that day and since then in the global war on terrorism.

Fort Drum, NY - Three 10th Mountain Division Soldiers were killed April 16 in Nimroz Province, Afghanistan when their unit was attacked by an improvised explosive device.  All were infantrymen with the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.  All deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in March 2011.
