Welcome to Fort Drum On behalf of the Soldiers of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, United States Army Garrison, welcome to Fort Drum! I am sure this will be a rewarding and challenging assignment. The installation and local communities offer numerous recreational, educational, and professional opportunities that are unequalled. Your assignment to the most diverse and unique unit at Fort Drum makes you a part of the Garrison family. Although we have an assigned military strength of over 60 Soldiers, the Garrison family consists of over 1,500 people. You will work with both civilian and military, as well as 10th Mountain Division (LI) personnel. We share an important mission: provide command and control, administration, training, and logistics support to the Soldiers of Fort Drum’s business centers/sections which support installation activities, training deployment, and mobilization. This unique company consists of 18 separate sections which have a wide spectrum of responsibilities: air traffic control, range control, equal opportunity, inspector general, public affairs, retention, mobilization and operations command, installation chaplain, and staff judge advocate to name a few.
